J.C. Lintzenich is the Founder of Lintzenich Advisory, a strategic advisory firm based in Washington, D.C. that helps senior executives, boards, and organizations understand how geopolitical dynamics, policy environments, and global risk intersect with business and strategic decision making.
He brings more than three decades of experience operating at the intersection of national security, government, intelligence, and international engagement. Over the course of his career, J.C. has worked at the highest levels of the U.S. government and alongside allied partners across Europe and the Indo-Pacific, advising senior leaders on complex global challenges and helping organizations navigate uncertainty in fast-moving environments.
Most recently, J.C. served as National Security Advisor to U.S. Senator Thom Tillis, where he led the Senator’s national security portfolio and served as the principal advisor on global security issues, defense policy, intelligence matters, veterans affairs, homeland security, and international engagement. In that role he worked extensively with senior officials across the U.S. government, allied governments, and the private sector, shaping policy discussions and supporting bipartisan initiatives related to NATO, the Indo-Pacific, emerging technology, and economic security.
Prior to his work on Capitol Hill, J.C. served in senior advisory roles within the U.S. Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. He was a senior advisor to the Director of National Intelligence and previously served as an intelligence advisor to the leadership of the U.S. Army. These roles required assessing complex geopolitical developments, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and providing clear strategic guidance to senior decision-makers.
J.C., a proud veteran, is a retired military intelligence officer with nearly three decades of distinguished service. His operational experience included supporting special operations and senior military leadership while working closely with allied and partner nations around the world. Throughout his military career, serving in our most elite units, he developed a reputation for clear analysis, disciplined judgment, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable insight.
Through Lintzenich Advisory, J.C. now applies that experience in the private sector, helping organizations understand how political environments, international developments, and strategic risk affect their operating environment.
